We loved our partner's idea so we also used the what's in the box activity. It was a wonderful activity. Students were asked why they could not see what's inside the box and why they could see it afterwards and it was obvious that in the beginning it was dark and afterwards there was light. They also had a lot of fun playing with the torch and the shadows and discovering when a shadow is small, how it becomes bigger, the results of lighting an object from different directions. In the end we watched the short movie/tale "The day I met my shadow".
